Shaftesbury & District Carers Association donation

9 August 2024

On Tuesday, 30th July, we presented a cheque for £1,500 to Shaftesbury and District Carers Association, on behalf of the SJP Charitable Foundation.

Based in Shaftesbury, Dorset, Shaftesbury and District Carers Association is an incredible independent charity dedicated to supporting vulnerable and at-risk members of the community.

Since beginning years ago as a drop-in for people to come and socialise, the charity has expanded to include a wide range of projects to help individuals get out and about, learn new skills, and enjoy themselves.

Whether their interests lie in cooking, gardening, mechanics, crafts, arts, or jewellery, the charity has something for everyone – and they are still expanding!

They provide a safe haven for those in need, offering opportunities to learn new skills, work as part of a team, and even progress into paid employment if desired.
